Spray Equipment Servicing

Spray equipment requires servicing and scheduled maintenance. Fluid handling equipment must be properly maintained to ensure the most optimal application conditions, and due to the nature of high pressure systems correct testing and certification documentation is required. Doing so is critical to complying with HSE regulations and reducing lost time and costs incurred by downtime, exacerbated by a lack of scheduled maintenance and servicing.

At Airblast Eurospray, our technicians and engineers are dedicated to providing quality, reliability, and efficiency to your spray equipment. We offer servicing, training and repair for spray equipment and PPE, on-site or at our facility. Additionally, we ensure compliance by testing and maintaining spray equipment according to the latest legislative and regulatory standards.

We offer total servicing, maintenance, and inspection for spray equipment, whether on-site or sent to us.

  • PPE inspections for suits and respirators
  • RPE servicing and maintenance for breathing air filtration units
  • Spray application equipment servicing and repair
  • Spray application equipment pressure testing, mechanical testing, and visual inspection

Scheduled Maintenance

Maintaining spray equipment is crucial for compliance with legislation and regulations (The Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 (PE(S)R / Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR)). Regular maintenance is necessary to ensure your equipment is fit for use and when serviced has up-to-date test documentation. Our technicians and engineers adhere to regulated inspection procedures to guarantee that all equipment is safe and meets legal standards.

Our team, trained to the highest standards, ensures that your equipment is properly maintained and reliable when you need it most.

Recommended Inspection Schedules

Inspection, servicing, and testing are vital for workplace safety and efficiency. Whatever your requirements, thanks to our expert inspection and testing procedures, you can trust that you’re in safe hands.

Airless & Air combi Sprayers

We recommend you service your spray equipment quarterly if you use high-performance coatings daily. If using standard interior/exterior coatings fortnightly, service your sprayer bi-annually. Finally, if you use your standard interior/exterior coatings monthly, service your spray equipment annually.

Our standard servicing of spray equipment includes:

  • Initial electrical test and visual inspection
  • Mechanical visual inspection
  • Initial run-up of the unit to ascertain its capabilities
  • Pump, manifold, gun & hose removal & inspection
  • Motor spin test & control board test
  • Cleaning of all parts including cart, stand & covers
  • Preparation of workshop report if additional work is required
  • Reassembly using new parts
  • Electrical PAT Test
  • Mechanical test including high-pressure test and visual inspection
Airline Breathing Equipment

As HSE regulations stipulate, breathing air tests MUST be conducted every 400 hours or every three months, whichever comes first. Breathing air tests are an HSE requirement for manufacturers and contractors working in hazardous environments. Breathing in compromised air from an airline-fed blast helmet can be potentially life-threatening. In addition, employers have a duty of care to their employees to have these tests undertaken.

Air Compressors

For best practice, air compressors should be serviced annually or every 2,000 hours, whichever comes first, determined by activity levels. Airblast can offer servicing for a variety of brands, including Hertz, Atlas Copco, and Abac. For a more detailed list, please follow this link.

Gas detectors

Gas monitors, like GVS RPB GX4, require calibration after prolonged usage. This can be anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the gas monitor. Check the manufacturer to find out how often yours needs calibration, or if it fails a bump test, send it to us for service.
